Sailor Jerry x WAAX: Ur a Rat Tour

When Sailor Jerry and WAAX hit the road for the Ur a Rat tour, we took the energy to the streets. Partnering with two incredible artists, we delivered bold hand-painted murals in Sydney and Melbourne — transforming blank walls into living, breathing tour posters.

Loud music. Loud walls.

To celebrate WAAX’s Ur a Rat tour, Sailor Jerry took it to the streets with two hand-painted murals that hit just as hard as the music.

Newtown, Sydney — Painted by Ann Woo ‘Love is a Sign’
Brunswick, Melbourne — Painted by Glen Downey ‘Crisis’

These weren’t just ads slapped on a wall, they were street-level pieces of street culture. Raw brushstrokes, ladders, paint cans, and hours of grind turned blank walls into living billboards that felt at home in the neighbourhoods they landed in. Ann brought her bold, signature style to the heart of Newtown, delivering a mural that instantly felt like part of the strip

Down south, Glen took on Brunswick with his own raw energy pulling the grit and colour of Melbourne’s music scene straight into the street.

From Sydney to Melbourne, the murals carried the same spirit Sailor Jerry and WAAX stand for — unapologetic, bold, and impossible to ignore.

Hand-painted OOH isn’t background noise. It’s part of the city.
